Finding Your Purpose

Chapter 1, undoubtedly, begins with addressing the reader to find their purpose. A quote that should make you take a second guess of everything you're doing in life at the moment opens up the chapter, “If you are not walking in your purpose, you are just working and living to die.” Reading this I began to ask myself am I living in my purpose? I never once in my 23 years of life imagined I would be working at a bank. I have never been the individual to want to live your standard 9am to 5pm lifestyle, it just is NOT who I am. As I reflected I then did have to realize that the things I am learning at this moment in my life are gifts from God to help me continue to walk in my purpose.

Lynn goes on to state that the way we use our time while on this earth are the MOST important decisions we will make and we should use this time to walk in it. We are placed on this earth for very SPECIFIC reasons and the goal of chapter 1 is to help YOU as the reader identify that.

“When you start the journey to identify your purpose, it may feel like your on a road trip without a map.” CHILE I ABOUT SCREAMED WHEN I READ THIS SENTENCE, because this is the TRUTH. As I have embarked on this journey as a young woman trying to break into the sports industry, I feel like I have been thrown to the wolves and gone completely blind. To get somewhere you have to KNOW someone, I feel like I’m trying to get somewhere without actually having the guidance to go in the direction I am supposed to. All of this to say I have learned from Lynn to get to your purpose you will go on a abundance of different routes to successfully get to the happy ending we all desire despite all obstacles we may face.

Ms. Lynn continues on in this chapter and explains why YOUR purpose matters and will matter in years to come, and a series of activities and stories to help YOU identify your purpose. Now I can’t give you all the sauce BUT if you read Chapter 1 of Agent You, you will gain and learn from it just like I did.
