Do You Have A Mamba Mentality?

Chapter five is all about having a Mamba Mentality. The message behind this chapter is SACRIFICE.

To walk in your purpose and to achieve your goals you may have to sacrifice.

This chapter is one that you definitely have to read on your own to learn about Nicole’s personal sacrifice as well to know what you are willing to sacrifice for your own personal dreams.

For me, I have been offered a total of 10+ jobs outside of the state of Tennessee in the sports field but I would have had to leave my graduate school program all together to make it work. I had to ask myself, was I willing to do that? My ultimate goal is to be a sports agent, which you need a secondary degree to do so. If I had quit school with 11 months left, would I return? Realistically…no. I honestly HATE school but I know it’s something I have to do to get to where I want to be. So I sacrificed, I sacrificed pay and experience. I always wonder, what else will I have to sacrifice as a woman who works in sports. My mind races everyday, will I have a family of my own (if you know me, you know I want 4 kids and the big house and yard, and I want to watch my children play sports and do activities every weekend alongside my husband), I ask myself will I even get married (so far dating and telling men I want to work in sports does NOT go over well). Then again I am an over thinker (can you tell?) I know God will provide but I can’t help but to think about those things. What are you willing to sacrifice?

Success isn’t always pretty…but what do you consider to be success? Success for myself looks similarly to what I previously described. I personally want to be married to the man God has for me, being financially free, with children who love sports just as much as their mother does, a family full of happiness and joy, and a successful career. I’m sure my view on this will change in years to come as I am only 23 at the moment. Only you can define what success looks like for you.
